Reno..... i hardly knew thee.
Went to Reno for work..... How to describe Reno, NV. If you've been to downtown vegas, ever.. picture this... Take a snapshot of vegas circa 1969, put it in the sun so i gets faded and kinda frumpy, and let the people grow old. AND, i got to be there for a biker festival. Street Vibrations. While i have no problems with bikers, hell, i even hang out with one on occasion, I was not prepared for this at all. I have NEVER felt so young, black, and urban in my life. And the women.... i mean..... while i like t&a as much as the next guy.... a g-string, chaps, and a see through tube top gets old. And it get's old in direct proportion to the age of the woman wearing it. Although, i, for some reason, got invited to alot of parties. I said no (i was out there for work). Even had one guy try to hook me up with his single friend. Imangine mary-anne form giligans island, in leather, with cleavage. but she see seemed less then intrested in the prospect of being pawned off on a complete and total stranger not of her own choosing, so i didn't make any advences. But, i did drink quite a bit that night.... so my judgement could be off by quite a large margin (always error on the side of good). The hotel sucked ass.... my room the first two nights was about 100 feet from the train tracks. so the horn sounded like it was in the bed with me. so, sleep was out of the queston. I'm soooooo glad to be back in town. Once the bikers cleard out... it was no where near as much fun, no that it was exactly a party to begin with. BUT, I got to eat at claim jumppers, very good food. And I got to see a friend of mine going to UNR. so it wasn't a total wash.
